How to order an MVR for a driver

The employer orders and pays. The driver provides their private details and signs. When the report is ready, the employer signs in to Evergreen Comply to view it.

This guide covers Evergreen’s one-off commercial MVR service for employers checking CDL drivers—not personal driving-record requests.

1. Choose the report and license state

Start an MVR order. Choose MVR only or MVR + CDLIS, then select the state that issued the driver’s current license. Do not select your business’s state unless it is also the license state.

The checkout shows the report charge and that state’s DMV fee before payment. With CDLIS, additional licenses can trigger additional MVRs and costs. Review that separate payment authorization before buying.

Not sure which report to choose? Read MVR vs. CDLIS vs. PSP.

2. Enter the buyer and driver details

Have these ready:

  • Your business name and buyer email.
  • The driver’s name and email.
  • The driver’s work location and license state.

You can pay without signing in first. Use a buyer email you can access later, and double-check the driver’s email so the invitation reaches the right person.

3. Let the driver complete authorization

The driver receives a private link to enter sensitive information and complete Checkr’s disclosure and consent steps. Do not sign on the driver’s behalf. Buying the report does not replace driver authorization.

Tell the driver to expect the invitation and Checkr consent step. No report is requested until the required driver steps are complete.

4. Retrieve the report

We email you when the report is ready. Follow the report link and sign in with the buyer email. Reports require authenticated access; guest checkout does not make them public.

Timing depends on driver completion, state records, and provider review—not just payment. Evergreen supplies the report; the employer makes the employment decision. This purchase is not a complete DQ file or a training course.
