A respirator works only within its limits and as part of an effective workplace program. This course connects hazard recognition, equipment care and warning signs to the decisions employees make before and during use.

This online course does not provide medical clearance, fit testing or employer verification that you can use the equipment properly.
Nine modules, from hazards to workplace procedures
Two questions follow each module. A ten-question randomized final assessment follows the teaching modules. Evergreen’s passing score is 80%, with unlimited retakes.

This is employee education. It does not qualify a medical evaluator, fit-test administrator, respiratory program administrator, emergency responder or rescuer. Employers must provide instruction suited to each worker’s assigned equipment, duties and applicable requirements.

Respiratory protection training questions
Who is this course for?
It is employee education for general-industry workers required to use respirators under an employer’s respiratory protection program. The employer must tailor instruction to actual hazards, equipment and duties and ensure employees can demonstrate the required knowledge.
When is respiratory protection training required?
OSHA requires training before required respirator use, subject to its qualifying prior-training provision. Retraining is annual and sooner when changes, inadequate knowledge or other circumstances make it necessary under 29 CFR 1910.134(k).
Does this course include medical clearance or fit testing?
No. Medical evaluation and fit testing are separate employer program requirements. The online course explains their purpose and when they apply; it does not perform either service or verify that an individual can properly use the assigned respirator.
How long does the course take?
There are approximately 62 minutes of video across 91 short lessons, nine module quizzes and a randomized ten-question final assessment. Allow extra time for assessments and workplace instruction. This duration is not an OSHA-prescribed minimum.
What score do I need?
Evergreen Comply requires 80% on assessments and allows unlimited retakes. The final draws ten questions from a 24-question bank. These assessment settings are course standards, not OSHA-prescribed scores.
What does the certificate show?
After completing the online course and passing its assessments, learners can download an Evergreen Comply completion certificate with a one-page regulatory crosswalk appended. It records online course completion, not OSHA approval, medical clearance, fit testing or completion of unperformed workplace instruction.
Does this qualify a program administrator or emergency responder?
No. This is employee education. It does not qualify a respiratory program administrator, medical evaluator, fit-test administrator, responder or rescuer. Employers must separately establish qualifications and training appropriate to those roles.
What is the price and language?
The one-time base price is $29 USD per seat before applicable tax. Instruction is in English. Employers must ensure workers understand their training. Teams can purchase seats online or request an invoice.
