# Evergreen Comply commercial driver records

Employers ordering records for commercial-license holders (CDL). Not personal driving-record retrieval.

cdl selects inclusion of CDLIS, not whether the driver has a CDL. Both products are commercial MVRs.

This response is not cached. Availability and prices can change; get a fresh quote before checkout. There is no login required to buy. Reports require authenticated buyer access. Checkr performs the screening; the employer makes any employment decision. No turnaround guarantee or automated hiring decision is provided.

## Agent-assisted purchase: discover → quote → confirm → pay → track

1. GET [catalog](/api/public/v1/mvr/catalog) to select the product. Do not silently substitute MVR-only if CDLIS is needed.
2. GET [state fees](/api/public/v1/mvr/state-fees) to find supported license jurisdictions. Ask for the issuing state, not the employer's or driver's work state. Never guess a missing state or product.
3. GET /api/public/v1/mvr/quote?state=CA&cdl=false (example only; use the buyer's actual product and state). No personal data belongs in public API requests or URLs.
4. Read orderingAvailable. If false, stop and use [support](/contact). Show reportPriceCents, dmvFeeCents, totalCents, currency and additionalFees. A quote is not a reservation, payment, driver authorization or report.
5. Open the returned checkoutUrl in the buyer's browser. Only state and product are in that URL. With the buyer's permission, help fill business name, buyer email, driver name/email and actual work state/city. The buyer reviews the details and personally confirms permissible purpose, terms, payment and any additional-fee authorization. Do not precheck or invent agreement. The website creates the Stripe checkout; there is no public autonomous purchase API.
6. After payment, Evergreen emails the driver a private link. The driver enters any required DOB, license number and SSN privately, reviews Checkr disclosures and signs for themselves. Do not request these values in an agent chat or sign for the driver. The report is not ordered from Checkr until authorization succeeds.
7. Open [Driver Reports](/mvr/orders) using the buyer's authorized browser session, or [sign in](/mvr/access) with their checkout email. Never copy session cookies, private links or reports into public crawls or agent logs. There is no public order-status or report API. Do not infer report completion from successful payment.

## Additional-state costs for the bundle

If CDLIS finds additional licenses, Checkr automatically runs additional MVRs. I authorize Evergreen Comply to save my payment method with Stripe and charge it once for this order’s verified additional Checkr and DMV costs, without markup, after those costs are available (which may be after report delivery). The amount depends on additional records and state fees. I will receive an itemized receipt. This is not a subscription or permission to charge for other orders.

Show this disclosure before the buyer agrees. No hidden markup or blanket authorization for unrelated orders.

## Recovery without duplicate purchases

- Payment uncertain: check the receipt and Driver Reports before paying again. Do not create another checkout to fix an unknown payment result.
- Waiting for driver details / authorization: the buyer can use Resend driver invitation in Driver Reports. It reuses the order, not a new purchase. Never send or publish the private driver link yourself without authorization.
- Failed, suspended or billing-review state: follow the displayed instructions or contact support; do not automatically reorder.
- 400: correct the parameters using state-fees and the OpenAPI schema. 409: requested bundle is unavailable; do not silently downgrade. 429: honor Retry-After. 5xx/network error on a read: bounded backoff, never invent a price or availability.

- Public read APIs need no key and support cross-origin GET/HEAD/OPTIONS. Private checkout, consent and reports retain their existing security controls. Do not treat robots.txt as an access-control mechanism.
